Tavistock and Merrivale
We stopped in the pretty little town of Tavistock, just inside Devon, where I bought a Dartmoor map from the visitors centre and Camilla picked up some cloth, patchwork material, and cheese.
Then we headed up to Merrivale, on the edge of Dartmoor. It promptly started pouring, but we waited for it to pause and then did a short walk around two small rows of stones, getting hit by rain at the end. We dried off a little over lunch in the Dartmoor Inn — a nice potato bake and sausage.
After that Devon digression, I drove all the way to the Eden Project in intermittent rain, with Camilla napping.
