the Food in Brittany
Our Best Meals
We ate a lot of great food in Brittany. The culinary delights of Hong Kong had been forgotten after a week in Oxford, and France seemed like a neverending feast.
The best meal we had in Brittany was a dinner at The Gardens of the Abbey of Bon Repos, one of the elite Restaurants du Terroir. I had roast pork from the 16.50 menu and Camilla had fish from the 22.50 menu — nothing at all exotic, just cooked and presented perfectly.
The next best meal I had was at La Gavroche, in Vannes. And La Hutte BriƩronne in Ile-de-Fedrun deserves a mention.
The best crepes of the trip were at the Creperie du Puits, in Dinan. We had other notable crepes in Le Hermine in Morlaix and in Carnac.
