Lake Nakuru National Park
lookout, hyrax, flamingos, pelicans

We drove up to a lookout which offered a great view over the lake (though it was a bit hazy).

There were several other groups here, but after they left we had the place to ourselves for a while. A group of rock (and bush?) hyraxes were clustering in the sun just outside the fence, clearly having lost all fear of humans; there were also some agama lizards.

Returning to the lake, we watched pelicans "circle fishing" — a ring of them would go "bottoms up" all at the same time. A hippo swam by.

And the flamingos were happily doing what flamingos do — filtering the water for cyanobacteria.
