Bookshopping
I was favourably impressed by both the number and quality of bookshops in those parts of the United States I visited. Even without the rec.arts.books guide to the bookshops of the Bay Area (a printed copy of this was a serious omission from my equipment) I managed to find over thirty bookshops in San Francisco alone.
