| Horseshoe Bends on Shoalhaven: stayed on 10th with Vic and Val in Kiama Heights; drove to helicopter area, started walking 11.15am, down to Great Horseshoe Bend, lunch, crossed river, upstrea, crossed back (Andrew and I with some difficulty, I sat in rapid), Little Horseshoe Bend (c), nice temperatures for walking, strong wind and light rain in evening, 6 degrees at 6.30 in morning, up ridge to SH574, Mt Monitor, across to road; lots of birds, iguanas | ||

| Mt Solitary: pouring and almost cancelled - Amanda did, but changed her mind and met us at Waygooze cafe in Leura; train to Redfern, Jon drove; got most of the way up the main climb, but turned back in medium rain; leeches everywhere, but pulled them off volleys and got no bites - M+J not so lucky! hot chocolates in Katoomba afterwards | ||
